About the Writer – Christina McMahon

Christina is the Director of Conflict Resolution Schools Development and has worked as an independent consultant from 1988-2011. She has a close association with the Conflict Resolution Network and was director of the education consultancy for many years.

As a consultant in the education field Christina has conducted 100's of workshops as staff development days, conferences and external courses for teachers, middle managers, principals and counsellors. These courses covered many topics but especially focussed on conflict resolution, personal development, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation and mediation.

From 1974 – 1988 Christina taught in educational institutions and held leadership positions as Curriculum Coordinator and as Head of Department. Leadership and management skills assisted her work as an independent consultant.

International presentations have been given in Norway to the European Conference for Peace 1996; in Sweden to Life-Link Foundation 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999: in Bosnia to Minister of Education and Principals 1997; in Sweden to International Association of Intercultural Education 1997, Moscow 2004 as keynote presenter at the Life-Link Foundation Conference for international youth groups, and 2007 and 2009 UNESCO and Life-Link Conference Jordon.
